CPE Dollard’s Board of Directors, elected annually, is a team of parents and community members guiding our childcare center with vision and care.

Board of Directors (B.O.D.) Explanation

The Corporation is administered by a board of directors (B.O.D.) composed of seven (7) administrators, a minimum of two-thirds of whom are parent users or future users of services provided by the childcare facility. Only one parent per family is eligible to sit on the B.O.D. simultaneously. The remaining B.O.D. is made up of one community member from the business sector or the institutional, social, education or community sector. No members can be related to one another. No more than two members can be employees of the center. No parent user board member or community member of the board may be an employee or related to an employee.

Administrators are elected by the membership at the annual general assembly held in August/September. Administrators remain in office for one year. Following the elections the B.O.D. meet to elect from among themselves their Officers:

  • President (must be a parent-user of one of the childcare services)
  • Vice-president
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
The B.O.D. is the guiding authority of the Corporation and meets once a month to ensure its smooth functioning with respect to its human, material and financial resources. If you would like to serve on the B.O.D., or would like to have more information, please contact the directors.
